About the Association:
Considering the increasing importance of mechatronic engineering as an interdisciplinary field, this association was formed with the following goals
1- Increasing students' knowledge of mechatronics science
2- Improving existing educational and research facilities
3- Creating a suitable platform for scientific and industrial activities
4- Creating a motivational and competitive atmosphere to encourage students to do scientific and practical activities
5- Establishing relationships with associations and scientific research institutions and providing a platform for scientific cooperation
6- Efforts to improve the status of Shahid Beheshti University in the field of mechatronics

The focus of this association's activity is the field of automation, precision instruments, application of artificial intelligence, Industrial Internet of Things and robotics in industry, close communication among students of electrical, mechanical and computer engineering and the comprehensive use of these sciences for the development of the academic community. For this purpose, with the establishment of the new central council in 2014-2016, with the secretaryship of Mr. Ali Nasiri and the advice of the supervisor of the association, Dr. Asha’rioun, special attention was paid to the goals and axes of the activity of this association, and this led to the establishment of the Mechatronics Scientific Association. It was one of the most active scientific associations of Shahid Beheshti University in 2014-2016, after which students of various fields from universities all over Iran became familiar with this association and mechatronic engineering work areas got better known among students. As a result of the activities of this association during six months, many courses and webinars were held in various fields of mechatronic. Among the lasting activities of this association, in addition to holding numerous specialized courses and webinars in 2014-2016, are:
1- Charamouz (Educational Wednesdays of the Mechatronics Scientific Association with the aim of free engineering software training in the fields of electrical, mechanical, energy, and computer engineering)
2- The first period of the Youth Festival (a competition and a festival based on students' projects in different stages and the review of projects by academic staff members, including Dr. Vahid Badri, Dr. Mehdi Pourqholi and Dr. Fatemeh Jahangiri)
3- The series of free webinars of Perspective (in three areas: 1- Familiarity with trends in engineering fields 2- Familiarity with startups and new businesses 3- Familiarity and connection with industries and power plants; to prepare students to continue their studies, start a business and start-up or activity in the industry)
4- A series of specialized webinars to increase students' awareness and information about modern sciences and the latest specialized scientific achievements with professors from the faculties of electrical engineering, mechanical and energy engineering, and engineering and computer science.
5- Research Fridays of the Mechatronics Scientific Association aim to improve the research level and familiarize students with software and research fields.
6- Hosting and forming workshops and research working groups and questions and answers in this regard under the supervision of Dr. Vahid Keivanfar
7- The series of Talk Back sessions in English to strengthen the specialized and general language of students across the country and also to provide an environment for sharing the knowledge and skills of the participants in English (currently, these series of sessions host 34 participants from 18 universities).
8- Holding a series of workshops on the basics of evaluating the remaining life of power plant equipment with the presence of Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Mousavi Tarshizi
9- Forming a working group to review and analyze new ideas in the electronics industry with the presence of Dr. Majid Moghadam
10- Apprentice podcasts (the subject of these podcasts is "Getting to know the engineering job market and getting to know the professional work environment after graduation" and our guests in this podcast are successful graduates of Shahid Beheshti University.)
11- Specialized scientific publications on processing and signal (Processing Journal, a journal on the subject of robotics and Signal Journal, a journal on the subject of mechatronics)
12- Launching the website of the Mechatronics Scientific Association at sbumechatronic.ir and the forum's page on the devices, as well as the live broadcast of the association on the devices and the website of the Mechatronics Scientific Association.
13- Communicating with the members of the mechanical, electrical and computer faculties to create a friendly environment for communication between faculty members and students.
14- Holding coordination meetings for holding courses with the dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, and several faculty members of this field, with the presence of the consultant professor and the secretary of the Mechatronics Scientific Association.
